First Congregation of Yahweh International
First Congregation of Yahweh International is based in Clark’s Town Trelawny, with branches in Yorkland, Paisley and Content, St. James and West Road, Arnet Gardens, St. Andrew. There are also associates all over the world, hence the name “International.”
As a member of the assembly, I proposed a website for the Jamaican group. I was left with the option to develope it as I saw fit.
These were the goals of the First Congregation of Yahweh International website. The website should:
- Help spread the word of Yahweh.
- Keep members worldwide updated with current happenings.
- Feature teachings, sermons, baptisms
- Gather information from users
I wanted to give it a vivid look so I chose two bright colours. For the primary font, I chose a shade of red (#B9121B). For the secondary colour, I chose a shade of burgundy (#4C1B1B). The background for pages is white, whilst the background for the blog is a more colourful, but still neutral shade of beige (#F1EFFD).
The header adds a green contrast that adds more life to the design.
I used PT Sans Narrow, a popular, universal font.
Here is the final outcome of the design process. First the homepage. This contains all the major features of the website on one page.
This is the blog page that features regularly updated posts. The beige background adds a peaceful touch.
As this was my project, I believe the website achieves all the goals that I set out to achieve.
